"Smart Tips for Seniors" at Laurel Lake
January 18, 2010 -- It's your future. How to you plan to protect it?
At Laurel Lake's Winter Open House on Tuesday, February 16 at 2 p.m., Rachel Kabb-Effron, Esq., a Certified Elder Law Attorney, will present "Smart Tips for Seniors," a program designed to help older adults plan more proactively for an active, secure retirement.

Rachel A. Kabb-Effron, Esq., CELA, is a partner in the Kabb Law Firm in Beachwood, Ohio specializing in Elder law and concentrating in Social Security. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and is recognized as a specialist by the State of Ohio Supreme Court. She is currently Vice President of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. Ms. Kabb-Effron is the immediate past-president of the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and an active member of the National Academy of Elder law attorneys on numerous national committees. She is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Bar Associations. Ms. Kabb-Effron recently chaired and was a presenter at the Cleveland Bar Association's elder law CLE and is a frequent speaker for Lorman Educational Continuing Legal Education Seminars, Fairhill Center and the Jewish Family Service Association as well as local community groups. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a member of the Northeast Ohio Care Manager Network. She has served on the ethics committee of the Keithley House of Benjamin Rose Institute, the Jewish Community Federation's Task force of Agency Professionals, Older Adult Subcommittee and currently serves on the Jewish Family Service Association's Maturing Family Services Advisory Committee. Ms. Kabb-Effron was awarded the Pro Bono Award by the Young Lawyers Section of the Cleveland Bar Association. She graduated cum laude from the Cleveland-Marshall College of law and with honors from the University of Cincinnati.
