Laurel
Lake set to bloom after Gardening Club gets to work
May
27, 2010 – Gorgeous geraniums in glowing shades of red will create a blaze of color throughout Laurel Lake Retirement Community after keen gardeners planted 92 flower boxes
on Wednesday, May 26.
The flowers will provide a riot of red color over the coming months as Laurel Lake residents proudly display the boxes
they ordered on balconies and patios.
Dozens of volunteers from the Garden Committee met on Greenwood Patio to plant the containers with help from "The Mikes,"
Laurel Lake groundskeepers Mike Miller and Mike Brown.
The annual fundraiser project not only fills the campus with color, but also helps to raise money for the master grounds beautification plan.
