Yet PC World reports that fewer than 25% of U.S. doctors use some form of electronic health records (EHRs) in their practices. Only 10% have fully operational health information systems that collect patient health data, manage information such as orders for lab tests and prescriptions, and provide decision support. On Monday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m., Laurel Lake and University Circle, Inc. will present a special distance learning program with Town Hall of Cleveland speaker John Halamka, M.D. via live videoconference.
