CONTACT Special Presentation "The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers" April
8, 2011 --
Laurel Lake and University Circle will present a special Distance
Learning program via live videoconference at Laurel Lake, Monday April
18 at 11:00 a.m.
The program is free and open to the public at 200 Laurel Lake Drive in Hudson. Call 1-866-650-2100 to register. Participants will join a Panel Discussion with Daniel Ellsberg, Case Western Reserve University Professor of Law Jonathan Entin, and Hiram College Center for Engaged Ethics Director Douglas Brattebo, moderated by Rick Jackson of WCPN 90.3 IdeaStream. "The Most Dangerous Man in America" is the story of what happens when a former Pentagon insider, armed only with his conscience, steadfast determination, and a file cabinet full of classified documents, decides to challenge the Presidency. In 1971, Daniel Ellsberg shook America to its foundations when he smuggled a top-secret Pentagon study to the New York Times that showed how five Presidents consistently lied to the American people about the Vietnam War that was tearing America apart.
