SIMPLE GIFTS
Photographer Wade Wilcox
illustrates the Amish way life

December 1, 2011 -- Although local photographer Wade Wilcox did not grow up in Amish country, he has cultivated a special relationship with the Amish of Wayne and Holmes Counties. He respectfully and elegantly captures their simple way of life with a personal touch and artistic flair.

Throughout the month of December, The Gallery at Laurel Lake hosts an exhibition of Wade Wilcox' stunning photography.  The show is free and open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Laurel Lake Retirement Community, 200 Laurel Lake Drive in Hudson.

Wade passionately works to capture both the natural beauty of the local farmland, and the out-of-the-way views that are rarely seen. Living and working in the Akron area, he travels regularly to Amish country to visit with friends and to photograph the sights of the area. His photographs have been displayed in a variety of local galleries and shops in Holmes and Wayne counties
. His work may be viewed at www.amishcountryimages.com.

For more information, call 330-650-2100 or visit Laurel Lake online at www.laurellake.org. Laurel Lake offers free gallery space to local artists and photographers as a service to the community. To inquire about scheduling a show, please contact Betty Presti at 330-655-1492.
